Comprehensive Course on Fluorescence Microscopy

Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) site

At our Princess Margaret Hospital site, we have various instruments, including:
  • a whole slide scanner for histology slides
  • inverted microscope equipped with stage top incubator and CO2 for live cell experiments
  • upright microscopes for brightfield and fluorescence imaging of fixed cells and tissues
  • upright microscope for fluorescence tiling and stitching of large tissue sections
  • bioluminescence and fluorescence systems for small animal imaging, including intravital
  • confocal microscopes for optical sectioning, including multiphoton capabilities
  • laser scanning cytometer for automated high content acquisition and analysis
In addition, we have several image analysis workstations, setup with software for routine image processing and analysis as well as more advanced analysis such as co-localization, 3D visualization and quantitation, deconvolution, and whole slide quantification.
