Advanced In Vivo Imaging Techniques
Approximate Time:
Pre-requisite: In Vivo Imaging Training
__________________________________________________________________________
This course is an extension of the basic in vivo imaging training course. It covers more advanced imaging techniques on the following systems:
- IVIS Spectrum:
- Acquiring Time Sequences - using the imaging wizard
- Translumination - this involves illuminating the specimen from below and allows for more sensitive detection and accurate quantification of deep sources
- Spectral Un-mixing - this is good for separating signals of interest from autofluorescence or other overlapping signals, allowing for better detection of multiple reporters
- Bioluminescence tomography (DLIT) or fluorescence tomography (FLIT) - allows for 3D localization and quantification
- VisEn:
- 3D fluorescence tomography - for 3D localization and quantification
- Maestro:
- Spectral Un-mixing - allows for separation of multiple probes and autofluorescence
