The best instrument that we have for imaging histology slides is the Aperio ScanScope XT. This is a whole slide scanner that provides images of whole tissue sections at fantastic resolution. If you are just interested in taking a few snapshots, then we also have some basic microscopes that will do the job, including the BX51 and the AxioImager. For phase contrast and DIC images, we have the AxioObserver.
