PMH Image Analysis

At our PMH site, we have two image analysis workstations (a P4 3.0GHz PC with 1Gb of RAM and a P4 3.4 GHz PC with 8GB of RAM), which are equipped with various image analysis, image editing and viewer programs, including:
  • ImagePro Analyzer and Metamorph - for standard image processing and analysis
  • Volocity - for 3D visualization and quantification
  • AutoQuant 64-bit - for deconvolution of widefield or confocal images
  • LSM browser - for viewing images taken on the confocal or two-photon microscopes.
  • Olympus FV10-ASW (offline viewer) - for viewing images taken on the Olympus FluoView confocal microscopes.
  • Aperio ImageScope - for viewing, taking snapshots and analysing images from the Aperio scanner.
  • Aperio Genie Pattern Recognition software - for whole slide histological analysis
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator - used for editing images for publication preparation.
Check out our course page for details on image analysis training using this software.

Each computer also has a CD and DVD writer for backing up data. We also have a flatbed scanner and colour phaser printer.
