Spinning Disk Training I

This hands-on training session will introduce the user to the basic operations of our
Olympus Spinning Disk Confocal microscope. Users will be trained on the Olympus IX81, which is equipped for transmitted light, widefield fluorescence and confocal fluorescence imaging.
Topics covered in this course include:

1. Introduction to the equipment and startup
2. Selecting the appropriate calibrations/settings
3. Operating the microscope in visual mode (transmitted light and fluorescence)
4. Acquisition (transmitted light, widefield, and confocal)
5. Multicolor acquisition
6. Creating a confocal Z-stack
7. Cleanup and shutdown
